Big third quarter lifts Lady Huskies

DEWEY — The Pawhuska girls basketball team pulled away in the third quarter to earn the series split with the Dewey Lady Bulldoggers, earning a 46-33 victory.
On Jan. 5 in Pawhuska, the Lady Bulldoggers came away with a 55-46 victory. Thursday night at Dewey, the contest was close throughout the first half. Pawhuska held a 19-15 lead at the break. The Lady Huskies outscored their counterparts, 16-5, in the third stanza.
Six Pawhuska players scored in the decisive stanza. Kyleigh Reibel scored two buckets, and Shelby Bute and Arianna Soliano each added 3-pointers.
The Lady Bulldoggers mounted a small comeback in the final frame — outscoring the Lady Huskies 13-11 to make the final 46-33.
Alyssa Reynolds led the Pawhuska scoring attack with 11. Riebel and Sierra Sellers each had seven.
Two Lady Bulldoggers — Madi Lawrence and Karissa Jones scored nine apiece. Addison Moll added seven.
