Bucks hold off Hulbert

HULBERT — The Hominy Bucks outscored the Hulbert Riders by 12 in the second quarter to take command of the game Friday night. Hominy won 58-41, improving its record to 1-0.
It was the season opener for both teams.
The Bucks host Cleveland at 7 p.m. Friday. It will be Hominy’s home opener, and final tuneup before facing Osage County rival Barnsdall at 7 p.m. Sept. 14.
Hominy scored 21 in the first, but Hulbert answered with 20. In the second, Hominy outscored Hulbert, 20-8. The Bucks outscored the Riders 8-6 in the third. Each team scored six in the final stanza.
