Pawhuska High School’s Levi Youngwolfe proved to be a two-legged black hole in wrestling competition last winter.

Opponents stepped into the same circle with him and were quickly devoured into oblivion.

The Huskie Hammer — who capped his nearly perfect (29-1) campaign by thumping Perry’s Brycen Justus, 5-3, in the Class 3A state finals — earned a spot in the recent Small School All-State wrestling match.

Youngwolfe has been assigned to the 132-pound match, one weight level above what he wrestled at state.

During his state tourney blitz, Youngwolfe opened up by administering a technical fall (15-0) against Sulphur’s John Miller, and then outlasted Little Axe’s Alec McDoulett in the semifinals, 9-7.
