OU football: Four-star Deer Creek offensive tackle Jacob Sexton commits to Sooners

Oklahoma and Lincoln Riley continued their hot-streak on the recruiting trail Saturday night, earning a commitment from a top in-state recruit Jacob Sexton.

Sexton, a 6-foot-5, 285-pound offensive tackle hailing from Deer Creek, is a consensus four-star recruit. He chose the Sooners over Alabama, Texas, Texas A&M and Oklahoma State.

Wrestling from a young age helped mold Jacob Sexton into the football player he is now — an OL who is committed to OU and No. 4 on The Oklahoma's Super 30.

The Deer Creek product marks the ninth commitment in OU's 2022 football recruiting class, which ranks 10th in the nation per Rivals. He joins Colorado running back prospect Gavin Sawchuk as the second verbal commitment since the ChampU BBQ event.

Sexton joins Jayden Rowe as one of the Sooners' two in-state commitments.
