PHS relay teams perform well

In track-and-field competition last week at an invitational meet for boys teams at Hominy, the Pawhuska High School boys won first place in the 400, 800 and 1600 meter relays. The Huskies won 120 points overall at the Hominy meet.

Evan Frye, Mason Gilkey, Jack Long and Andrez Ramirez were the runners who combined to win both the 400 and the 800. Frye, Gilkey, Ramirez and Dalton Hurd combined to win first place in the 1600 meters.

Pawhuska took fourth in the 3200 meters, with Hunter Fanning, Ryck Quillen, Andrez Ramirez and Lane Cosby representing its cause.

In the 400 meter dash, Evan Frye, Tre Harper and J.T. Waddle finished first, second and third, respectively.

In the 200 meter dash, Tre Harper finished third, Dalton Hurd was fourth and J.T. Waddle was sixth.

Dalton Hurd was second in the long jump. Tre Harper was fifth in the pole vault. Ryck Quillen was third in the 3200 meter run.
