Late signups are encouraged for an elementary boys’ basketball camp that’s to be held Saturday in the Pawhuska High School gymnasium.

The Pawhuska Youth Sports-sponsored camp will be directed by Justin Barkley, men’s basketball coach at Rogers State College, from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. Cost is $50 for a second- through sixth-grade camper.

In addition to professional basketball instruction, campers get lunch and a free T-shirt.

Members of the Pawhuska High School Huskie and Lady Huskie basketball squads are providing assistance with the camps. For more information, please call Jake Bruno at 918-287-7798.

An elementary-level camp for girls was conducted last Saturday by Jim Rowland, coach at Northeastern Oklahoma A&M College in Miami. Rowland, a Pawhuska native, has led the Lady Norse squad to 254 victories in 11 seasons — while compiling a exemplary .750 winning percentage.
