Jr. high football action

The Pawhuska Junior High School building may have been shut down this year, but shutting down Pawhuska’s high-powered seventh- and eighth-grade football teams has been another matter. A wet field forced the cancellation of last week’s final home games with Blackwell. Road contests were to be held Tuesday at Cleveland, and the seventh, eighth and jayvee seasons are to wrap up Tuesday, Oct. 28, in Sperry. Here, local running back Ethan Diehl is shown making a move during a junior high victory earlier this season.
