Fundraising efforts are currently underway to help the Pawhuska High School baseball team take a spring break road trip to Orange Beach/Gulf Shores, Ala., according to project coordinator Jon Marie Wilson.

Boosters of the Huskies plan to work concessions every Sunday to help defray costs for the trip, Wilson said.

The Baseball Steak Dinner on Saturday, Feb. 8, at the Pawhuska Elks Lodge will also benefit the project. She added that tickets for the annual dinner are to go on sale next week.

Another fundraiser is calling for cash giveaways, according to Wilson.

“We are selling chances to win cash prizes of $1,250, $500 and $250,” she said. “Tickets are $50 and can be purchased from any high school baseball parent.”

Winners will be announced at the steak dinner event.

Exhibition ball games versus area teams will be played by the PHS squad along the route of its spring break trip. The excursion is scheduled for the week of March 17-23.
