Inductee praises Pawhuska
Dear Editor,
I am totally envious of Pawhuska.
And just as much I am grateful to the Osage County Historical society for the recognition bestowed on May 2.
I admit I am still “floating,” still trying to take it all in. Words like humbling and gratifying do not come close.
No words can articulate accurately all that I would like to convey.
To be included with or just to be associated with the inductees of that night was an honor and privilege that I can only marvel over and over.
I have been ecstatic with the revitalization of Pawhuska for sometime. Its history is being brought to life with the OCHS,
its president, board and supporters.
Your local paper, with its editor, is enhancing the community which now has such a light at the end of the tunnel (a bright light) that must be a rallying point in Pawhuska’s history.
Towns or small cities have challenges in these times that can be discouraging , but thanks to the indomitable spirit of local leaders like you have (and Skiatook has) we endure and succeed.
By the way, did I fail to mention I love Skiatook ?! (can’t leave that unsaid)
Incredulous as I am about this recognition I am truly blessed and thankful to all of the above mentioned, as well as those behind the scenes who brought it about.
Thank you,
Chet Reyckert
