The Pawhuska Helping Hands program is beginning its 2013 campaign to help needy Pawhuska residents.

The needs based Christmas program, Helping Hands, will again be focusing on a flexible food selection for our recipients. The toy portion of this project has been picked up by other local organizations including the Boys and Girls Club of Pawhuska.

There will be no application process this year. Instead of applying, families and recipients will be determined by the local schools and churches.

We are writing this letter to ask for your support with this year’s program. Last year we served over 50 families and over 80 children. With YOUR help we can make this a happier holiday season for everyone!

There are three ways you can help us meet the needs for assistance:

1st, Cash donations that will help us provide food.

2nd, Although we are not distributing toys through our program, if you would like to donate a new, unwrapped toy, you can drop it at the Pawhuska Indian Camp School or the Boys and Girls Club of Pawhuska.

3rd, You may also sponsor a family. This means you would purchase and deliver food directly to the family. If there are children in the family, purchasing toys would be at your discretion. To sponsor a family contact your local church or the Ministerial Alliance. Thank you for your support in helping us assist Pawhuska families have a happier holiday season. Any donation that you can make will be greatly appreciated.
