American Legion plans Memorial Day activities
American Legion Post 198 of Pawhuska is planning several activities for Memorial Day, 2023. The following is a brief list provided by Post 198:
Friday, May 26, the American Legion Ladies Auxiliary for Post 198 will be set up at the American Legion Lot in the 700 block of Kihekah Avenue, downtown, and will have poppies for all who come out and help support.
Friday, May 26 at 6 p.m., the American flags will be put out on the highway.
Saturday, May 27 at 9 a.m. at the Pawhuska Cemetery, American flags will be placed. Many of the scouts and others will be putting the flags out. Anyone can come out and help.
Monday, May 29 at 10 a.m., there will be a ceremony at the American Legion building on Sixth Street in Pawhuska. At 11 a.m., we will be at the Pawhuska Cemetery Mausoleum, and at 11:30 we will be at St John's Cemetery.
