End of an era at Ormand Beach Stadium

Demolition began last week on the aging grandstand at Ormand Beach Memorial Stadium in Pawhuska. The sandstone and concrete grandstand dated back to the 1930s and was a landmark of significant sentimental value in the community. It was also beginning to fall apart due to age. It is to be replaced with a new, metal grandstand.
