The acting director of the Osage Nation Museum has announced that concerns about inclement weather have resulted in the postponement of a public reception scheduled from 5-7 p.m. Thursday, Jan. 3.

The reception was to have been held at the Osage Nation Museum in celebration of the Thursday opening of a new exhibit titled “Patriot Nations: Native Americans in Our Nation’s Armed Forces.”

Acting Museum Director Addie Roanhorse said the reception will be postponed until Jan. 10. She also said that she anticipates keeping the reception scheduled for the same time of day — 5-7 p.m. Thursday.

Roanhorse said she anticipates the opening of the exhibit will be delayed, and that additional exhibit preparations will be made.
