Softball is in full swing as the junior high and high school had a game against Edison at home on Monday.

Tuesday, both the junior high and high school will play against Shidler at home with the first game to start at 4:30 p.m. Thursday’s game will be just the high school against Woodland at home and will start at 5 p.m. Good luck Lady Jackets!

Our fifth- and sixth-grade students are attending StarBase in Tulsa on Tuesday and will leave at 7:50 a.m. Students will need a sack lunch. They will return around 3:10 p.m.

Wynona Schools will have its annual student vision screening on Friday. Early detection and proper correction can prevent permanent vision loss and negative attitudes toward school. Vizavance will conduct the screening and their motto for the school year is “You Are the Key to Our Success!” Many children in Oklahoma can receive free exams and glasses through SoonerCare and Vision Service Plan benefits provided by Vizavance. For more information on your child’s eyesight contact Melanie Gamble at Vizavance, (405) 848-7123, ext. 103.

We will not have school on Monday for Labor Day!

Grandparents Day will be September 7. We invite all grandparents, aunts, uncles or a person who is a positive influence in a child’s life to come eat lunch with your favorite child. Just like in years past, we are having the Scholastic Book Fair in the library. We will send more details about each event next week.

We hope everyone has a restful weekend and a great week next week!
