Ice cream social slated July 14

HOMINY — The Fred Drummond Home is scheduled to hold an ice cream social from noon until 4 p.m. July 14. As an element of the event, visitors will be able to enjoy the Drummond Heirloom Exhibit, a display of artifacts usually kept in storage. There will be storytellers stationed throughout the house, to relate the history of the family and explain the customs of the early 1900s.

Admission will be $7 for adults, $5 for seniors aged 62 and older, $4 for students aged 6-18, and free for children under 6, as well as for all veterans and all active duty military with ID. Drummond Home also has a group rate of $5 per person for all groups of 10 or more visitors.

The Drummond Home is located at 305 N. Price, Hominy. For more information, call (918) 885-2374. The Fred Drummond Home is a division of the Oklahoma Historical Society. It has been on the National Register of Historic Places since 1981.
