Osage County Sheriff Eddie Virden said county authorities are still looking for thieves who reportedly made away with several guns and police/fire radios.

“We are still looking for the person or persons responsible for this theft,” he said. “On Dec. 13, a residence was broken into about two miles west of Bartlesville near Hudson Lake in Osage County. Stolen were numerous hand and long guns, jewelry, a television and Xbox, fire radios and pagers with local law enforcement and fire radio frequencies on them and fire pagers. The thieves even took the Christmas presents from under the tree.

Virden said the victims are volunteer firemen and medics and their badges also were stolen.

Sheriff’s Office investigator Dale Hunter said the theft happened sometime between 10 a.m. and 11 p.m. that day.

“We’re asking anyone with any information into the identity of the suspects or the location of the stolen items to call us or Crime Stoppers,” he said.

Hunter may be reached at the Osage County Sheriff’s Office at (918) 287-3131 or call Crime Stoppers at (918) 336-CLUE (2583) to leave an anonymous tip.

“We are pursuing a couple of leads and suspicions,” he said. “We’d really like to get these guys.”
