WYNONA BOARD OF TRUSTEES MEET
The Wynona Board of Trustees met for the regular monthly meeting on Oct. 17. The Board conducted regular business, then they discussed projects for a possible REAP grant from INCOG and decided that the best projects would be to try to continue to replace water lines and to try to do some street repairs. They passed a resolution to that effect and authorized the Mayor to sign all necessary forms and papers. Board member Della Carter reported that she had been able to raise the funds to purchase all the flags to install on the poles in town. There was money left over and the board wants to do a Veteran’s Memorial project at the Town Hall. Carter was commended on doing such a great job and for her civic pride in our town. She baked and sold many pies to help fund the project, along with monetary donations from different people. Attending the meeting were; Evelyn Pitts, Donna Swanner, Tonya Holt, Loretta Little, Goober Robinson, Della Carter, Janet Delaney and Tennie Slone.

TRICK OR TREAT
Trick or Treating in Wynona will be set from 6:30-8:30 p.m. Halloween. Those handing out treats should leave their porch lights on for all the ghosts and goblins! Speed limit in Wynona on all streets will be 25 mph.
DOGS TO BE ON A LEASH OR IN A PEN
The Wynona leash law states that dogs are to be kept on a leash or in a pen in the owner’s yard. People are out walking for exercise or just trying to go out in their own yards and there are loose dogs out. The officers will be issuing citations for these at large dogs.
TRASH NEWS
The rule for the trash pickup in Wynona is that the trash has to be bagged. This is not a new rule, it has been in effect all along. People are starting to just put loose trash in the polycarts and the trash truck crew will not pick it up. Polycarts should also be secured so that animals cannot tip them over causing trash to blow everywhere. Thanks for helping out with this!
CONDOLENCES
Wynonans offer their condolences to the many family members and friends of James Creacy, who passed away last week at his home in Wynona. He was a nice man, always kind and courteous to everyone. We will miss him.
