The Wynona School board has a vacant seat. It is seat #5. If you are interested, please contact Shelly Shulanberger. The requirements are: high school diploma or GED, no relation to any employee of the school, registered voter and reside in our district for the last 6 months. The election will be on Tuesday, November 14. The filing period to be placed on the ballot is Sept. 25-27.

Our students and community members are outstanding. We have collected several books, cars, puzzles, and dolls to mail to the Hurricane Harvey victims! THANK YOU!

The rule for the trash pickup in Wynona is that the trash has to be bagged. People are starting to just put loose trash in the polycarts and the trash truck crew will not pick it up. Polycarts should also be secured so that animals cannot tip them over causing trash to blow everywhere. Thanks for helping out with this!

The Wynona leash law states that dogs are to be kept on a leash or in a pen in the owner’s yard. People are out walking for exercise or just trying to go out in their own yards and there are loose dogs out. The officers will be issuing citations for these at large dogs.

The Town Board voted to have Chris McCullough build well houses for our three wells. The other well houses were rotting and falling apart. McCullough is building nice, metal, insulated buildings to keep our wells covered and easy to check or repair. He is very reasonably priced and he has done this type of work for years and does a great job. Thank, Chris for the sturdy buildings.
