The Town Hall staff has been receiving daily calls and complaints about dogs running loose around town, killing chickens, chasing cattle on the outside of town, being aggressive towards people who are walking on the streets. The Town of Wynona has a leash law and a limit to the number of dogs a household can have. The dogs are limited to 4 per household, not to include puppies 6 months and younger. All dogs are to be tagged and proof of vaccination shown. Dogs are to be kept within the confines of the property of the owner, whether by leash or fence. The police officers will be issuing citations to those who do not comply with these ordinances.

Wynonans are saddened and offer their condolences to the many family members and friends of Patricia Hollowell. Patty was a friend to everyone and we all loved her. She fought a long hard battle with cancer. She was brave and tough right up until the end, too. She even rode in the Wynona Founder’s Day parade on June 10th. Patty and Jim Jim were in charge of Wynona Founders Day for many years. We will all miss her.

The Wynona Volunteer Fire Department is hosting a benefit for the family of Patricia Hollowell. She lost the fight with cancer on July 1st. Jim Lott, her husband, is now facing all of the medical bills, in addition to the funeral expenses. He is one of our own and he needs help with this! The event will be held on July 29th, 2017 from 4-7 p.m. in the Wynona Schools cafeteria. They will be serving Hamburger/Cheeseburger, chips, dessert and a drink for $5. There will also be a silent auction held during that time. If anyone would like to donate anything at all for the auction, please contact Lance at 918-694-2944 or Brandie at 918-637-7724. They will also be selling chances on pistol for $20 per chance. It will be available for viewing during the benefit. Come out and help us support one of our own firefighters and his family!!
