Wynonans are sad to hear of the loss of Ralph McGill, rural Wynonan, who passed away on June 10. Ralph fought a courageous battle with cancer and lost. He was a super good guy, who always had a big smile. He was a big supporter of the Wynona Volunteer Fire Department, as well as a firefighter. His son, Michael McGill, daughter, Dana McGill and grandsons Ethan and Chance McGill also are on the department. Ralph worked in the oilfield around this area for years. He was always ready to lend a helping hand to anyone who needed it. We will sure miss Ralph! Condolences to the many family members and friends.

The Wynona Volunteer Fire Department would like to thank all of the people that assisted with the activities we did on Founder’s Day, and the donations made to the fire department will greatly assist us as our money is running thin. We would also like to thank the Pershing and Hominy Rural Rancher’s Fire Departments for coming over and participating in the parade.

We also want to extend our deepest sympathy and regrets to the McGill family on the loss of Ralph. He was a great asset to the Fire Department and he will be missed. Our thoughts and prayers are with the family.

The Wynona Founders Day activities were a success, according to all who attended. We will have reports next week on parade entries and game winners. Thanks to all who attended and special thanks from Wynonans to Crala Marlin and Amanda Stansberry for stepping up and taking over. We really appreciate all you did!!
