Saltfork Craftsmen Association blacksmith Tracy Cowart, left, provides instruction at the anvil to Ethan Reese of Sand Springs during Saturday's blacksmithing arts demonstration outside the Pawhuska Chamber of Commerce. Members of the group “share their craft” by providing “hands on” learning opportunities at Regional gatherings they hold on the first Saturday each month. It was their second meeting in the past year at the local site. The Chamber offices are located in the historic Blacksmith's House, which was originally built for the U.S. Government-hired blacksmith assigned to the Osage Indian Reservation.
