The N.O.W. chapter of the Red Cross — which aids disaster victims in Nowata, Osage and Washington counties — will be holding its “Run for Relief” on Saturday, Sept. 10.

Staging area for 14th-annual benefit run is outside N.O.W’s Bartlesville office at 601 S. Jennings Ave. A One-Mile Fun Run/Walk starts the day’s events at 7:30 a.m. and the 5K runners take off at 8 a.m.

Members of all communities served by the organization are encouraged to come out and show their support. Non-runners and young children can take part in the Fun Walk.

The USATF-certified 5K road course winds 3.2 miles through the downtown area. Its predominantly-flat layout offers runners a chance to record good times.

Unique medals and spectacular trophies will be awarded to the three top finishers of male and female divisions in 16 age groups. Several great door prizes will be given away after the awards ceremony.
