DEPARTMENT OF HEALTH: County has 45 positive tests and 7 deaths

The Oklahoma State Department of Health reported Friday morning, April 10, that two more Osage County residents — both men over 65 — have died of COVID-19.

The county has now had 45 people test positive and 7 die, the OSDH said.

Statewide as of Friday, 1,794 positive tests and 88 deaths had been reported.

Only 5 people under the age of 50 had died of COVID-19 in Oklahoma. The majority of the state’s fatalities - 71 - had involved patients aged 65 and older. Another 12 were in the 50-64 age range.

Nationally, more than 476,000 had tested positive and more than 17,800 had died.
