Barnsdall prepares for Halloween fun this Saturday

The Barnsdall Chamber of Commerce Halloween event is Saturday, Oct. 31, from 5:30 to 7:30 p.m. The activities will be downtown in front of the Community Center. Come out and join everyone for a fun-filled Halloween event and a chance at winning a prize for the best costume. The Chamber is still in need of cakes, cookies and brownies for the event. If you would like to donate any of these items, please contact Claud Rosendale at 918-847-2202. 

Barnsdall High School’s blood drive is Wednesday, Oct. 28, from 8 a.m. to 2 p.m. in the high school gym. Appointments and face masks will be required. Appointments can be scheduled online at https://www.redcrossblood.org/give.html/donation-time. You can also schedule an appointment by calling 1-800-733-2767, or contacting Superintendent Jeff Lay.

Sunday, Nov. 1 marks the first date to begin collecting Christmas tickets for the chance at winning over $4,900 at our local Christmas event. All local businesses that are a member of the Barnsdall Chamber of Commerce will be giving out one ticket per $10 you spend at their business. These tickets will be given out from Nov. 1 through Dec. 11. All tickets will be picked up on Dec. 11 to be put in the hopper for the drawing on Dec. 12. Remember to shop local to help Barnsdall and to earn tickets for your chance to win a cash prize.  

Barnsdall Public Schools will have a school board meeting at 7 p.m., Monday, Nov. 2.  All board meetings are held at the elementary school in the teacher workroom, unless otherwise noted. An agenda will be posted on the school website and on the front door of the elementary school prior to the meeting.

The Barnsdall City Council will meet at 5:30 p.m. Tuesday, Nov.. 3 for its regularly scheduled monthly meeting. All city council meetings are held at Barnsdall City Hall unless otherwise noted.

The Barnsdall High School football team travels to Garber to play the Wolverines at 7 p.m. Friday, Oct. 30. The Panthers are 6-2 so far.
