Panthers football returns to Barnsdall this Friday

Misty Farber

Week of Sept. 9-15

The 2019-20 Barnsdall school yearbooks are ready and were scheduled to be delivered on Wednesday, Sept.9, to everyone who ordered one last year. If you did not order one, you can purchase one Wednesday for a special price of $38. It is a one-day-only sale and the price will increase to $45 after Wednesday.

If you are interested in purchasing a yearbook or have questions, please contact, Mrs. Grant at cgrant@barnsdallschools.org. The yearbook staff will also be taking orders for the 2020-21 yearbook for anyone who wants to place an order. Please note, yearbooks are normally $38 if you order at the beginning of the school year and will increase to $45. Order yours today and save money!

The Barnsdall High School softball team will be staying close to home in the coming week, as it hosts three games at Wyrick Field. The team will host Dewey on Thursday, Sept. 10, and will enjoy a nice three-day weekend as it does not have any games scheduled. The team will then host Olive on Monday, Sept. 14, and Bartlesville JV on Tuesday, Sept. 15.

The junior high softball team will travel to South Coffeyville this weekend as it competes in the Oklahoma Union Tournament. The tournament will start Thursday, Sept. 10, and conclude on Saturday, Sept. 11. Good luck, Lady Panthers!

The Barnsdall High School football team will host its first home game of the season this week as it plays Copan on Friday, Sept. 11. All football games start at 7 p.m.

The Barnsdall Junior High football team will host Drumright on Monday, Sept. 14. All junior high games start at 6 p.m. unless otherwise noted.

Community members have been enjoying the drive-through food pickup every Monday as the Assembly of God Church volunteers hand out boxes of produce and milk to every car in line. The boxes are supplied to the church by the ministry, Food on the Move. The donations happen each Monday at noon until all boxes are handed out on a first-come, first-served basis. We appreciate the volunteers as they work to coordinate the drive-through and hand out food boxes to all our residents. For more information on this program, please contact Pastor Jason Byers.
