Community Foundation offers $18,000 in grant opportunities

Pawhuska Community Foundation has announced up to $18,000 in grant opportunities available for 501(c)3 nonprofit organizations serving the Pawhuska area.

PCF is requesting applications from any nonprofit which provides programs and services to the Pawhuska community. PCF will award a total of up to $18,000 to nonprofit organizations that are selected.

PCF Board President Chad Renfro states: “In 2018, the Pawhuska Community Foundation was able to fund a new vocational training workspace for people in our community living with disabilities through Help Works, Inc. In funding the Indian Camp Parent Booster, Inc.’s participation in a national program called Rachel’s Challenge, we helped foster kindness and consideration among students of all ages.

It was also the first time that the Pawhuska Community Foundation teamed up with the Osage Nation in helping fund upgrades to Red Eagle Park through an initiative by the Pawhuska Indian Village. The board is pleased with the projects that were funded last year, and looks forward to reviewing this year’s applicants.

PCF seeks to make a positive difference in the future of Pawhuska by empowering individuals, groups and the organizations of Pawhuska to strengthen and sustain the economic base, environment and quality of life in the area.

Since 1993, PCF has been hard at work pursuing this mission through support and funding of local community projects and organizations including Art Maker, LLC, the Osage Nation Foundation, Pawhuska Hospital Foundation, Pawhuska Public Schools Foundation, Preserving Arts in the Osage, the Ben Johnson Memorial Project, National Indian Taco Championship and Skate Board Park.
