OSU Extension is accepting registrations for its master gardener class.

The registration deadline is Dec. 14, and the course will cost $120. To register, call Branden Handke at Osage County Extension, at 918-287-4170. The course fee is due Dec. 14.

The master gardener course is offered by OSU Extension in order to provide garden training to the public. Topics covered through this class cover practically all sectors of gardening which include vegetable production, trees and ornamental shrubs, fruit production, turf and lawn and others.

The course will begin Jan. 8, and end Feb. 12. That is six weeks of class meetings on Tuesdays and Thursdays from 5:30-8 p.m. Once the classroom work is complete, the students will be asked to put their newly learned skills to the test as they perform 40 volunteer hours and will then be given the title of master gardener.

This is a great way to learn more about gardening from Oklahoma State professors and other professionals.
