Pawhuska native Steven L. Hulse, 67, passed away Tuesday, November 27, 2018 in the Jane Phillips Medical Center, Bartlesville, OK.

Steve, or “Rock” as he was known by many, was born February 1, 1951 in Pawhuska, the son of William F. “Frank Hulse, Jr. and Jerra Vonn (Willcox) Hulse. He was a graduate of Pawhuska High School with the Class of 1969. On September 5, 1976, he married the former Sally Robinson in Pawhuska. Two years later, his daughter, Robin, was born. He owned and operated his oilfield business, Rock’s Sorry Service, for many years. A jack of all trades, Steve loved learning. He was an avid reader and loved nature and vacationing in Colorado with his family.

Surviving are his wife, Sally, of the home; daughter Robin Slack and husband, Dave, of Houston, TX; his mother, Jerra Vonn Hulse; brother Frank Hulse and wife, Nancy; uncle Cliff Cowan; mother-in-law Shirley Robinson; sister-in-law Carrie Manning and husband, John, as well as a host of other family and friends. Steve was preceded in death by his father, William Frank Hulse; brother Martin Hulse and father-in-law, Bill Robinson.

Graveside services will be held Friday, November 30, 11:00AM, at the Pawhuska City Cemetery. Rev. Tracy Fitzgerald will officiate. Interment will follow.
