Lorrie Young J-C correspondent

Fall break is the week of Oct. 15-19. I hope you make a lot of everlasting memories during this week.

Mrs. Shulanberger will be taking students to Bartlesville to get physicals on Oct. 15. The bus will leave promptly at 9 a.m. The cost is $15, and all paperwork must be completed and signed by each student’s legal guardian. Permission slips have been sent home.

The annual fall carnival is 6-8 p.m., Oct. 26.

Congratulations to fall royalty contestants.

Each royalty member will be given tickets to sell for $1, and will also have a can with their picture displayed on it to collect money during the lunch period and the night of the carnival. At 7:15 p.m., cans will be collected, money counted, and the queen and king will be crowned.

Another exciting announcement … the Costume Contest is back. The contest will be at 7:30 p.m. in the old gym. We will also have a silent auction. Each class will be painting a canvas for the auction and we will have three baskets in the auction.

The pre-k through fourth grade students’ theme is “Outdoor Life,” the fifth- through eighth grade students’ theme is “Movie Night” and the high school theme is “Sports.” We are asking for donations for the baskets. Please have your child donate an item according to the grade level they are currently in. Donations will be accepted through Oct. 23. Please start sending your class items now. Mrs. Boyd and the FACS students will have two spook houses, one for younger students, and one for older students and adults.

Also, the Robotics Team will travel to Alva on Saturday, Oct. 27 for competition.
