Following a tentative start (1-1) to the season, the Hominy High School football team is collecting steam.
The Bucks have scored 108 points the past two games, including last Friday’s 56-38 crumpling of Langston Hughes in District A-5 action.
With the win Hominy improved to 3-1 overall and 2-0 in district play — putting the Bucks in the driver’s seat in their quest to make the playoffs out of arguably the toughest Class A district in the state.
Next up, the Bucks hit the road — following a three-week homestand — on Friday to take on Drumright.
Four of Hominy’s remaining six games will be on enemy turf.
