Feds indict Pawhuska man on weapons charge

A federal grand jury has indicted a Pawhuska man on a charge of possessing firearms after prior felony convictions. The Osage County Sheriff’s Office and the U.S. Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, Firearms and Explosives conducted the investigation of the case.

A federal grand jury formally charged Thadeus Michael Horn, who remained in the Osage County Jail as of Tuesday, according to a jail record. The announcement of the indictment showed Horn’s age as 37. An Osage County Jail record indicated he is 36.

Osage County Jail records show authorities locked Horn up on Jan. 11, 2018, and county prosecutors charged him Jan. 17 with six counts: unlawful possession of a controlled drug with intent to distribute, maintaining a place for keeping/selling a controlled substance, possession of a firearm after a former felony conviction, tampering with a security camera or system, unlawful possession of a police radio, and unlawful possession of drug paraphernalia.

In connection with the federal indictment, Horn faces a maximum penalty of 10 years in prison and a $250,000 fine.
