Patricia Hudson Sell

Patricia Hudson Sell was born November 16, 1939, and unexpectedly departed this life on August 13, 2016. Born in Chicago, Illinois, Patti was the third of H. Clay and Patricia Hudson’s seven children. At a young age, Patti’s family relocated to Pawhuska, Oklahoma, her father’s hometown.

Patti attended the Immaculate Conception School in Pawhuska and graduated in 1958 from Gulf Park School for Women in Gulfport, Mississippi. After high school, she attended and graduated from the University of Oklahoma with a degree in education. While at OU, she was a member of Alpha Chi Omega sorority.

Patti briefly taught school in Pawhuska before deciding to become a fulltime wife and mother. Patti was an active member of the Immaculate Conception Catholic Church for nearly 70 years. Her community involvement included the Pawhuska Hospital Auxiliary, PEO, Heeko Club and Assistance League of Tulsa. Patti was a longtime OU football season ticket holder and rarely missed a home game. She was an avid tennis player and enjoyed her local bridge club.

Patti was preceded in death by her parents, older brother, Jimmy Hudson, and her husband, Gene. She is survived by her sisters Barbara Delgado, Susie Paramore and Connie Sweeden; her brothers Tommy Hudson and Clancy Hudson; her children, clay Wilson and his wife, Polly, Robert Wilson, Chris Wilson and his wife, Susan, and Trish Holley and her husband, Austin; her grandchildren Coleman Wilson, Kyle Wilson, Courtney Holley, Grant Wilson and Trent Holley; her great granddaughters Brylee and Brooklyn Wilson; and her husband’s children Janet Murnan, David Sell and Brent Sell.

Arrangements include a rosary at 7:00pm on Monday, August 15, and a funeral mass at Immaculate Conception Catholic Church in Pawhuska at 10:00am on Tuesday, August 16. In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations be made to the Immaculate Conception Soup Kitchen.
