Pawhuska driver injured in Sunday crash on US 60
A Pawhuska man was injured Sunday in a one-vehicle crash near the west edge of town.
Cody Yates, 34, was transported by Pawhuska EMS to Tulsa’s St. Frances Hospital following the accident, which occurred just to the west of County Road 4251, approximately one-tenth of a mile west of the Pawhuska city limits.
Oklahoma Highway Patrol reports said Yates was driving a 2014 Ford pickup eastbound on U.S. Highway 60 when it departed the left side of the roadway and went airborne after striking a post, a traffic sign and a culvert. The vehicle then struck a pipe fence before coming to rest on its wheels.
Osage County Sheriff’s deputies assisted the OHP and medical personnel at the crash site, the report added.
