Pawhuska enters final school week

End-of-the-school year events are heading into the home stretch at Pawhuska High School.
Beginning at 10 a.m. Thursday in Oren Terrill Field House, the PHS Awards Assembly will feature full rundowns of the top academic achievements of 2015-16. It includes announcements of thousands of dollars worth of scholarships.
Thursday evening, the All-Sports Banquet gets underway at 6 p.m. at Pawhuska Elk’s Lodge, with accomplishments recounted and honors given out in each of the Huskies’ and Lady Huskies’ athletic activities.
Baccalaureate will be held Sunday, starting at 6:30 p.m., at First Baptist Church.
A Sixth and Seventh Grade Awards Assembly is scheduled for 1 p.m. Monday, May 23, at Terrill Field House.
PHS’s two top honor students — valedictorian Karissa Hughes and salutatorian Stephanie Clifton —are to be recognized Monday, May 23, at the school district’s Val-Sal Honor Dinner, which begins at 6:30 p.m. at the First United Methodist Church Family Life Center.
The FFA Banquet is set for Tuesday evening, May 24, starting at 6:30 p.m., in the Osage County Fairgrounds’ Ag Building.
Last day of classes for the Pawhuska Public Schools will be Thursday, May 26.
Friday, May 27, will start off with the 11 a.m. Senior Breakfast at the First Baptist Church. Commencement exercises for the Pawhuska High School Class of 2016 are scheduled for 7 p.m. Friday at Ormand Beach Memorial Stadium.
