No School on Friday, April 15.

We have began completing state testing. Please make sure students get a good night of sleep, nutritious breakfast, and ready to test. We will continue testing for the next 3 weeks. We are requesting monitors for testing. Please call the office if you can monitor a day or two.

On Thursday, the softball and baseball teams will have home games against Copan. Concession stands will be available at both games. We are asking everyone to park in the student parking lot west of the bus barn for the softball games to eliminate damages to vehicles, and for highway safety. We appreciate your support and understanding.

The seniors will be heading to St. Louis on Thursday and returning on Friday.

Prom tickets are on sale in the office for $20. All juniors and seniors will get in free. Sophomores, freshmen, and dates that do not attend Wynona School will need to purchase a ticket. Prom is April 22, in the new gymnasium. Dinner is included with your ticket.

Eighth graders will be going to Frontier City in OKC on April 29.

The Science Fair will be on May 5, starting at 6:30 in the old gymnasium.

The school year is quickly coming to an end!

January 1 was the date to get new stickers for 4-wheelers in Wynona. Stickers are to be renewed every January 1. Just a renewal for formerly registered, and a new registration requires paperwork to be filled out. If one is caught out without a current sticker, a citation can be issued. Stickers are $5 each.

Wynona’s cheerleaders are creating a recipe book, which is a great way to share your favorite family recipes with the community.

The cookbooks will cost $15 each. The cheerleaders are asking friends and family to help by sending in your favorite recipes by email or just sending it to the school with your kids or family and they can give it to the office or to a cheerleader. Anyone who has a recipe that they would like to share, please send it in to the cheerleaders and they will put it in the book. Please be sure to put your name at the bottom of each recipe.

It is with a heavy heart that this reporter adds condolences to the family and friends of our mother, Barbara (Bobbi or Nan) Howell Taylor. She passed away on April 1.

She was one of the best people ever and if you knew her, you will know why we miss her so! She was a great mom, grandma, great-grandma and great-great-grandma, as well as a friend to everyone. We miss you, Mom!

Condolences also go to the many family members and friends of Patrick O’Rourke, former Wynonan, who passed away recently after a lengthy illness. Pat was a great guy and a friend to all who knew him. We will all miss Pat!
