Indian Camp students gear up for OKC Thunder

On March 22, the Indian Camp Elementary had a Thunder Day!

Indian Camp students and staff have thundered up in our gear to support the NBA’s Oklahoma City Thunder team. We have a contest going on to predict the winning team, the Thunder score and the combined score of the game. Lucky winners will get iPad time in the office. The class with the most Thunder gear on will get extra recess.

March 23 was Kindergarten Roundup. All kindergarten students coming to school next year will be screened by the OCIC for school readiness.

A Cookies and Milk reward party for all students was held Thursday, March 24, if the students knew their 100 List A sight words. On Monday, March 28, Indian Camp Elementary had an ice cream sundae party for students who know all 100 List A and 100 List B sight words.

The Parent Picnic will be held on Wednesday, March 30. Parents bring lunch or purchase lunch in the cafeteria and enjoy recess with their child. Picnic at the park is set for Thursday, March 31. All students who know 500 sight words, List A, B, and C get lunch and recess at the park.

Dinosaurs are coming to Indian Camp School on Wednesday, April 6. During physical education, students will see a 20-foot dinosaur and learn about them.

Walking Tacos and Testing will be held on Tuesday, March 29 at the Pawhuska Elementary from 5:30-7 p.m. This is for the parents and the third- and fourth-grade students. Third-grade students will perform a special musical presentation and the parents and students will learn more about the state third- and fourth-grade test that is coming in April.

The junior high and high school have spring sports in session now. Please take the opportunity to attend baseball, soccer, track, tennis, and golf matches to help support our local athletes.
