Pawhuska Elementary recently held a Spelling Bee and the following students will be heading to the County Spelling Bee on Wednesday, Feb. 17:

Champion — Amadeus Reeves, 7th grade;

Runner up — Anna Hudson, 8th grade;

Alternate — Haley Grooms, 7th grade.

Champion — Henery Matozo, 4th grade;

Runner up – Roy Hudson, 5th grade;

Alternate – Autumn Cure.

Pawhuska High School’s Student Council is sponsoring a Blood Drive on Wednesday, Feb. 17, in the Oren Terrill Field House lobby from 7:30 a.m. – 2:30 p.m. Please come and contribute to help those in need.

On Tuesday, Feb. 23, local fifth-graders will be taking the Writing Test.

Spring School Pictures also will be taken on Feb. 23.

FFA/BPA CareerTech Week is Feb. 22-26. The FFA Osage Junior Livestock Show will be held Monday, Feb. 29, through Friday, March 4.

Business Professionals of America will be heading to contest on Tuesday, March 1, as well as Tuesday and Wednesday, March 8-9.

The Pawhuska High School Honors Banquet will be held on Monday, March 7, beginning at 6:30 p.m. at the Elks Lodge. Tickets are $8 each, which includes cost of the meal.

Persons wishing to attend the honors banquet may purchase tickets in any local school office or at the administration building. Tickets also are available at American Heritage Bank, Tolson Agency, the Chamber of Commerce office, or from members of the banquet planning committee.

Parent/Teacher Conferences for all Pawhuska Schools will be held on Tuesday, March 8, from 4-7 p.m. and Thursday, March 10, from 4-7 p.m.
