A Barnsdall man sustained injuries in a one-vehicle accident early Monday on State Highway 123, approximately five miles north of the SH 11 junction.

Austin Stanley, 28, was driving a truck northbound when it left the roadway just south of County Road 2470, according to the Oklahoma Highway Patrol. The vehicle struck a fence pole and then continued on through the fence before coming to rest against a gate, the report said.

Inattention was listed as the cause of the accident, which occurred shortly before 3 a.m., the OHP added.

Stanley was transported to Bartlesville’s Jane Phillips Medical Center, where he was admitted in stable condition with head, external trunk and arm injuries. The driver was not wearing a seat belt, according to reports.
