Tuesday shooting being investigated

Area law enforcement officers are investigating a shooting incident that reportedly occurred Tuesday morning on East 12th Street in Pawhuska.

An ambulance helicopter was called to the area and transported one person to a Tulsa hospital.

The injured person is believed to be a man between 40 and 50 years of age. Early reports indicate he may have sustained a gunshot wound to the head.

At midday Tuesday, local police and the Osage County Sheriff’s Office were continuing their investigations.
