Osage County Fairgrounds’ once-a-month auction and consignment sale will be held Tuesday, Jan. 5, beginning at 6:01 p.m. in the Ag Building.

Persons wishing to convert unwanted items — like coins, jewelry, guns, furniture, antiques, collectibles or even small animals — into cash can contact PeeWee Easley at 918-287-8216 or Cody Garnett at 918-429-6349.

The sales are conducted in a climate-controlled, family-friendly facility where there is plenty of seating as well as lots of homemade goodies at the concession stand.

Volunteer/paid workers are being sought to assist with Osage County elections.

Osage County Election Board Secretary Andrea Conner said there are opportunities in all of the county’s precincts and at all of its polling sites.

“Individuals will be needed at the precinct level and for in-person absentee positions,” the county official said.

Qualified applicants must be registered as a voter in Osage County. They should be reliable and willing to work long hours, said Conner, who added that the workers “will only be needed for a few days each year.”

State law prohibits a precinct official from holding any other office (such as school board member or city councilman), Conner added.

Interested persons should contact the Osage County Election Board office at 630 S. Kihekah, or call Conner at (918) 287-3036.
