This year’s downtown event drew a fantastic crowd, according to officials with the Pawhuska Chamber of Commerce, who expressed gratitude for all the hard work that went into building the floats — which, they said, “all looked amazing.”

Special appreciation went out to the 2015 Parade Marshals, Richard DeMoss and Dee DeMoss.

“We are looking forward to 2016,” Chamber officials noted.

Other Saturday activities included:

— The Osage Nation-sponsored Craft Extravaganza was held from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. at Wah-Zha-Zhe Cultural Center.

— Winners of the Lil’ Miss and Lil’ Mr. Christmas contests were announced Saturday afternoon at First United Methodist Church. This year’s Lil’ Miss Christmas is Kenady Drummond and Lil’ Mr. Christmas is Brayden Smith. Both earned honorary positions in the Christmas parade. The annual contests are sponsored by ESA, with all proceeds going to benefit St. Jude Children’s Hospital.

— Winning youth artists were announced from the “Creating Kids Exhibition” at Osage Tribal Museum.

— A Christmas Open House was offered throughout the day at Tallgrass Gallery, 521 Kihekah Ave.

— Constantine Theater presented a free showing of the movie “National Lampoon’s Christmas Vacation” following the parade.

On Sunday afternoon, the Constantine hosted Santa Claus, who presented free wrapped gift to approximately 300 children.
