POLICE CHIEF: SCHOOL’S BACK IN SESSION, WATCH SPEED!

Wynona Police Chief Brian Lenington advises drivers to remember that Wynona School’s are back in session and the speed limit through the school zone is 25 mph. It is also 25 mph in the residential areas of town. He has installed new timers on the school lights, and they are at the north end of Wynona and beside the Baptist Church. The school kids will be going to school in the mornings and coming home in the evenings and their safety is the town’s number one priority. The new timers will be flashing from 7:30 a.m. until 4:10 p.m. The speed limit through town when the school zone lights are NOT flashing is 35 mph. Our police department will be watching and citations will be issued for violators.
