The “Hearts and Hands” Outreach Mission of the Pawhuska Ministerial Alliance will hold its annual work day this Saturday with community volunteers making repairs and improvements at several pre-selected area homes.

This year will mark the 16th anniversary of the local project, which started with members of the First Presbyterian Church working on one home. Volunteers from many area churches and other organizations have since become involved in providing the labor and materials for making the needed improvements.

Prior to heading out to their job sites on Saturday, the Hearts and Hands volunteers are to gather around 8:30 a.m. for a light breakfast at the First United Methodist Church’s Family Life Center, 620 Leahy. Workers will be returning to the Family Life Center for lunch between 11:30 a.m. and noon. Then, the crews are reassembled for an afternoon work session.

During the lunch break, the drawing will be held for a hand-crafted quilt that is connected with the annual project.
