The next Osage County District Court appearance is scheduled in May for a former grocery store manager facing a felony embezzlement charge.

Richard Joe Parker, 53, is accused of fraudulently appropriating nearly $25,000 from Pawhuska Hometown Foods.

The funds reportedly went missing from deposits while Parker was the store’s manager.

Approximately 11 store deposits from January and February are involved.

According to a law enforcement affidavit filed in the case, Parker was “the only person employed by the store to have access” to those deposits.

In court last Friday, Special Judge Stuart Tate set a May 15 hearing for Parker, who remains free on a $5,000 bond.
