The Oklahoma State Bureau of Investigation is looking into the death of a 41-year-old man who was “tasered” during a Friday altercation at the Osage Casino in Tulsa.

An Osage County Sheriff’s deputy responded to the north Tulsa facility around 7:30 p.m. after an Osage Nation police officer requested assistance in removing a man who had been banned from the premises by casino management. The man reportedly was pursued “for a couple of miles” as he drove away from the casino property.

Officers said the same man later returned to the casino, leading to a foot pursuit into a wooded area east of the property. A fight reportedly ensued after a casino security guard caught up with the fleeing man. Reports further state that the man was “tasered” with a stun-gun in the course of that physical altercation.

The man — identified as Terry Price — is reported to have collapsed as officers were putting him in handcuffs. Price was pronounced dead upon arrival at Tulsa’s OSU Medical Center.
