Registration deadline nearing for Pawhuska school election
Registration deadline is Friday, Jan. 16, for next month’s Pawhuska School District Election, according to Osage County Election Board Secretary Andrea Conner.
The school election will be held Tuesday, Feb. 10. In addition to considering the annual district millages, local voters are to choose a member of the Pawhuska Board of Education. Three persons — Matthew Vann Gray, Patricia Wilson and incumbent Thomas J. Boone, Jr. — will be seeking a five-year term in Office No. 5.
The deadline recently passed for voters to register in a Shidler School District Special Election set Tuesday, Jan. 13. A $335,000 bond issue is being sought to fund repairs and improvements to Shidler school facilities.
Polling places to be used for the Shidler election are: Precinct 103 at the Shidler Community Building, 269 S. Cosden; Precinct 105 at the McCord Senior Citizens, 115 Mary Road; Precinct 106 at Burbank Town Hall, 105 S. First St., and Precinct 113 at the Grainola Methodist Church, 33862 State Highway 18.
Ballot information for the Shidler election is currently available at the Osage County Election Board office, 630 Kihekah Ave. Regular office hours there are 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. and the telephone number is 918-287-3036.
