The Cherokee Nation is hosting a health job fair to fill positions at the new Cooweescoowee Health Center, opening early spring in Ochelata, just south of Bartlesville.

The job fair will be held from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. today at the Fairfield Inn and Suites, 2107 S.E. Washington Blvd., Bartlesville.

Cherokee Nation spokespersons say nearly 20 jobs are available, including manager of ambulatory care nursing, manager of information and referral, community health representative, pharmacy technician, supervisor of public health nursing and more. A nurse recruiter will also be on site.

Candidates should bring resumes and be prepared for on-site interviews. If unable to attend, applications are available at www.cherokee.org by clicking “Employment” under the Quick Links section.

The Cooweescoowee Health Center is one of four health centers and one hospital undergoing expansion or replacement under the tribe’s $100 million health care improvement plan. New health centers are being built in Ochelata and Jay, with expansions in Stilwell and Sallisaw and an additional facility at W.W. Hastings Hospital in Tahlequah.
