A current county employee has been named to become the deputy director of Osage County’s Emergency Management/Safety Department, it was announced last week.

Katherine “Katie” Davis — who has been working in the county’s E911 office — was selected for the new position Monday, Nov. 10, following candidateinterviews conducted during an executive session of the Osage County Commission.

Seven persons had applied for the post, officials said.

Davis will serve as assistant to Jerry Roberts, who became the county’s director of emergency management and safety in October following the retirement of 15-year director Mike Pattison.
