Injuries reported in Osage County traffic accident
A Pawhuska man was reportedly injured following an accident in rural Osage County on Oct. 8.
According to reports from the Oklahoma Highway Patrol, the accident occurred at about 11:12 p.m. Wednesday at the intersection of U.S. Highway 60 and Highway 99 in Osage County.
At that time, the OHP says a 2006 Chevrolet Pickup driven by 42-year-old George Daniel Boone, of Pawhuska, was northbound on Highway 99 and attempted to make a left-hand turn. At that point, the truck allegedly entered the southbound lane and into the path of a 2007 Toyota driven by 35-year-old Michael Joseph Ellis, also of Pawhuska. Ellis reportedly swerved to the right, but collided with the truck.
Boone was not injured in the accident, but Ellis was transported by Hominy EMS to Pawhuska Hospital, where he was admitted in fair condition with trunk internal injuries.
