New dietitian joins health departments
Osage, Washington and Rogers County Health Departments welcomed dietitian Jennifer Klufa, who is providing services for WIC and non-WIC individuals needing nutrition counseling.
Klufa’s background in nutrition is vast and diverse. She has her Bachelor of Science in Nutritional Sciences from Oklahoma State University, a Masters of Science in both Health and Human Performance and Nutritional Sciences from OSU and completed her Dietetic Internship in 2012.
Before joining the health department, Jennifer worked as a Nutrition Services Director with Sky Fitness & Wellbeing in Tulsa where she developed and implemented various nutrition programs as well as provided individual nutrition coaching. She is an active member of the 2014 Oklahoma Academy of Nutrition and Dietetics Spring Convention Committee and serves as the current 2014-15 Public Relations Chair-Elect.
Klufa grew up in Oklahoma on a farm in Tonkawa. She enjoys going to the lake with her family and friends, spending time with her huskie (Kodi), and being Aunt Jenni. In addition, she likes to play the piano and is currently learning Spanish.
She firmly believes all foods can be present in a diet in moderation. She will gladly assist those wanting to pursue better health through positive nutrition changes. Klufa is a positive role model, living a healthy life of good nutrition and regular physical activity.
